Empowering businesses and leaders to create meaningful cultural change through data-driven insights, inclusive policies, and impactful storytelling.
Services
We demystify the nuances of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) data to help you create informed DEI strategies and increase accountability.
DEI Data Analytics
We equip you with best practices for DEI analytics and help you develop proper data governance. We will analyze your DEI data, create recommendations on focus areas, advise on multi-year diversity goals, and ensure you have the right data routines in place to measure your progress.
Self-ID Strategy
We provide guidance on what types of personal information to collect, where to collect the data, and the proper way to measure the data. We also provide consultation on building effective Self-ID campaigns that increase participation, creating a more accurate and usable dataset.
Inclusivity Audits
We conduct reviews of employee policies, benefits, and trainings to improve inclusivity. This includes the language and examples used. For benefits, we like to think differently to consider the needs of unique identities and cultures. This helps avoid potential bias and creates a stronger culture of belonging.
PUBLIC SPEAKING
Creating safe spaces for teams to learn
Too often I hear people say, “I’ve never met a trans person before.”
And I know one of the best ways to build empathy and understanding is by getting to know others and the experiences that shaped them. With this goal in mind, I share my story proudly and welcome open discussion so folks can learn and grow.
I offer four types of presentations/workshops:
Large group presentation focused on transgender and gender expansive (TGX) experiences
ERG leadership workshop that goes deeper into issues impacting TGX employees
HR & Legal sessions that dive into policies, benefits, and legislation
Senior leader closed-door sessions that are confidential and allow for judgement-free discussion, and equip leaders to better support their TGX employees
MEET DREW AHL (he/him)
Inclusion and diversity are not just a personal passion, they’re an ingrained part of my life.
I am a queer, transgender, neurodivergent, disabled Air Force veteran and the son of an Army Chaplain. I’ve lived in 11 different states, and overseas. This has offered me the incredible opportunity to get to know, learn from, and work with a wonderfully diverse group of folks.
These experiences have helped me lead with empathy and inform what I believe are the three main ideas at the heart of DEI:
Seeing the humanity in everyone
Believing and valuing the lived experiences of others
Creating equitable access and opportunity for marginalized groups
After eight years of DEI work in corporate settings, I started Ahl DEI Consulting to use my expertise and skills to help as many people and organizations as I possibly can.
Contact me for advice or support to help you build a solid diversity analytics foundation, create diversity goals, launch a Self-ID campaign, review policies for inclusivity, or educate your teams on the transgender experience.

"Drew's influence on my own DEI career journey, along with his impact within the DEI space, cannot be overstated. He is a champion of data-driven DEI strategy and decision-making, and is able to help any organization committed to DEI identify their most urgent priorities, problem-solve to address the more glaring pain points, and rally teams around a common goal. On a personal level, Drew is an open, outspoken and incredibly inspiring advocate for transgender and gender-expansive issues, and is someone who will put down everything to listen, lend support and share perspective that immediately helps people know that they are not alone in their experience. I cannot recommend Drew highly enough as a professional and as a person who truly models what we are all hoping for in the colleagues we work with."

"I had the privilege of being a mentee of Drew. Through his leadership, I made great strides in my ability to lead inclusive and productive conversations with my team on difficult topics. I personally grew my understanding and awareness of numerous DEIB areas, including transgender and gender expansive issues. Drew has a unique ability to teach and coach in a quiet way that meets people where they are, while at the same time challenging them to approach issues from different perspectives. In addition, Drew brought data and facts to our conversations that helped to focus both my learning and strategy creation. Most importantly, Drew is just a great person to work with – patient, astute, and a great sense of humor. "
